When you wake up, do you ever get the feeling that today is your day? Which could be simple things that make it your day. It doesn't have to be anything significant to feel good.
For some reason, I felt like it was my day; now, in saying that, I still had a stormy night of no sleep, restless as anything, and a lot of pain in the hip, but with what I got, I felt okay. I cruised with the grandkids before their first day back at school; now Kado is in year nine this year, mate, looking forward to today - no hate it, Pop. What about Bubs excited to see your friends, no Pop don't want to go; mmm good start, it's funny, you know they must have their mothers outlook on school. She hated it with a passion.
I had jobs as a single dad, and getting the kids to school was one of them; Wade loved it. He would go early to catch up with his mates, and then they walked off through the track. Tara was Dad'll make a deal with ya. If I help clean the house, can I stay home? It would take me 20 seconds to think about it - no worries, but let's make sure we clean the house, and then I'll take you down to your horses; haha, we were down there by 11 am.
Today, the simple thing for me was spending time with the grandkids before they left for school. I seemed relaxed, drinking coffee and going over my emails. Mmm, no one was chasing money. Lol, I organised a few things and got ready for my operation. Three weeks to go, haha. Better to be prepared than late is my motto.
I caught up with Dad. He has his home of no return and is doing well. He gets excited when visitors come to see him. At lunchtime, we had an excellent chat in the dining area. I was only visiting Dad, so we chatted about different things.
How does it work out? I've had a great day. I'm learning to write for my first book - with Book Authour.AI - I enjoy that, and it keeps my mind active and full of energy. I've been to the Dome, had my banana thick shake, and fingers to keys writing a blog. Just remember you don't have to have a big day to have a good one; the key is to plan it a bit, have a relaxed look at the day's movements, and take it in stride. In other words, go with the flow.
