My Year So Far..

Starting a new year an be a refreshing experience fill with hope and new possibilities. You seem to reflect on the past year, set new goals for the up an coming year, which is the plan in moving forward.

For me i'm still waiting on my operation with the full hip replacment which has been 14 months so far, in that time i have learent to adapt with pain in movement, siting, laying, walking, everything we do in a normal day of living. It's been hard work as each month you decline with your body part that needs to be replaced as i have with my hip.

I have had some good news just recently with a set date for the operation, which will be the end of February, for me it's another 5 weeks away but getting closer i must say. As i have inflected more damage to the hip through wear and tear of the time waiting, the opp will be 4  to 5 hours instead of 3, and the recovery five to six months, were the right hip was only two months.

Through the longer waiting period i have occured, the tendond and tissues around the hip bone have deteriorated to non - existence, the hip bone has created a cavity in to the hip plate around 2 to 3 centimetres, apparently it's like soft chalk which is embedding deeper into the plate. The hardest part of this is the mental approach learning to handle the different depths of pain that occur with movement and even trying to sleep is a mission on it's own, put the leg in a spot and bang instant pain with a force that wakes ya up, i try to see where i can put the leg for some comfort Lol that can be a challenge which can take a while.

So id say 2025 for the first eight months is going to be different with a lot of challenges in front of me, my goal is to get back on both feet as healthy and quickly i can, and as that time gets closer set my goals in going forward for rest of the year.
